General questions about the COVID-19 Vaccination

Is there a cost to the patient to get the COVID-19 vaccination?

No, there is no cost to the patient.

Can I get the COVID-19 vaccine and Flu vaccine together?

Giving a flu vaccine with a COVID-19 vaccine on the same day is allowed. All Flu Vaccines are administered free during May. Patients should talk to their doctor if they have any queries.

Am I required to get vaccinated for work? (WA)

Employers can only require their employees to be vaccinated when:

a specific law (such as a state or territory public health order) requires it
the requirement is permitted by an enterprise agreement, other registered agreement or employment contract, or
they give their employees a lawful and reasonable direction to be vaccinated – whether a direction is lawful and reasonable is assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Do I need a COVID-19 vaccine booster?

Booster doses are FREE for everyone.

All adults can get a booster if it’s been 6 months or longer since their last COVID-19 booster or confirmed infection (whichever is most recent) for additional protection against severe illness from COVID (See: health.gov.au 5 Apr 2023)

Who can get a COVID-19 vaccine?

If you’re an adult and it’s been 6 months or more since your last COVID-19 vaccination or infection, you can now get a booster. Top up your protection with the latest vaccine.(See: health.gov.au 5 Apr 2023)
